mathacademy-stats: how long does each XP take?

Why I built it
My son learns math on Math Academy. Its unit of progress is XP, and an XP is meant to correspond to about a minute of focused work. So XP per minute is a decent measure of focus: well below one, and he's distracted, stuck, or the tab is open while he does something else.
Math Academy shows how much XP he earned each day. It doesn't show how long each XP took, or whether that's getting better. I wanted to see XP per minute by course and by type of activity (lessons, reviews, quizzes), and how it changes week to week.
What it shows
- XP per minute. Percentiles and thresholds by course and activity type.
- XP/min trend. Daily and weekly XP per minute, with a 7-day rolling average and week-over-week change.
- Daily overview. XP, activities and attainment over time, with markers where a new course started.
- Histograms. XP/min for lessons and reviews, and daily XP totals.
- Activity heatmap. A GitHub-style calendar of the last year.
- Weekday patterns. Average XP by day of the week.
- Upcoming topics. Frontier topics ranked by how solid their prerequisites are.
- Export. Up to seven years of activity as JSON or CSV.
How the numbers are computed
- XP per minute is XP awarded ÷ minutes taken. The trend page divides total XP by total minutes, rather than averaging per-activity ratios, so a few very short activities can't distort it.
- Activities over two hours are dropped. A two-hour lesson almost always means the tab was left open, not two hours of work.
- Days follow your clock. The API labels timestamps as UTC, but they are local wall-clock time, so they're read that way, and late-night sessions count toward the right day.
Privacy
The extension uses your existing Math Academy login to call its API. Everything is stored and processed in your browser; nothing goes to any other server. Fetching is incremental: the first run pages through your whole history, later runs fetch only new activities.
